Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches from the hosts, the proximity to local amenities, and the property's suitability as a base for exploring the surrounding countryside. While some minor issues are noted, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests planning to return.

The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning its immaculate condition. This suggests that the property is very well-maintained.

The location is frequently highlighted as a strong point, with its proximity to Hadrian's Wall, local pubs, eateries, and beautiful countryside. The central location in the village and ease of access to local amenities contribute to a high score.

Guests find the cottage cosy and comfortable, suitable for families and equipped for a pleasant stay. However, some guests mentioned issues with light in the bedrooms and the comfort of the settee, slightly lowering the score.

The property is well-equipped and guests are generally satisfied with the facilities. However, there are comments about the need for more showers, a dishwasher, and concerns about the heating system and electrical sockets, which indicate room for improvement.

Many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful gestures, such as welcome gifts and quick responses to issues. It should be noted that while these gifts are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Full of character, very cosy and just the ticket for a long weekend away. Our host was very welcoming, on hand and very helpful. Ideally located for visits to the main Hadrian’s Wall and National Trust walks. The local regular train service to Hexham and beyond is close by if you want explore the wider area or eat out.

It was in an ideal location and the house itself was so suited to a gathering for seven. The beautiful furnishings were appreciated and it felt like “home from home”. We all plan to return to Haydon Bridge one day as this house and location couldn’t be matched very easily.
