This quaint fishing port is picture-perfect, with a beach-hut lined waterfront, boutique ice cream makers, and streets crammed with coffee shops, restaurants and bakers. If you're seeking a setting with more magic, then Alnwick (7.5 miles) is a great choice, thanks to its Harry Potter filming location, Alnwick Castle, and its captivating cobbled streets lined with shops.
