About this property

Felton 4 miles. Acorn Lodge is a charming lodge in the serene countryside of Felmoor Holiday Park near Felmoor, Northumberland. With off-road parking for one car and welcoming two well-behaved dogs, this delightful retreat is perfect for families or friends seeking a peaceful escape amidst nature's beauty.

Upon entering this single-storey abode, you will be greeted by a spacious open-plan area, thoughtfully designed to cater to all your needs. The kitchen is well-equipped with all the essentials you need to whip up delicious meals, which can be enjoyed at the dining table set for four. After dinner, retire to the sitting room, where you can snuggle up in front of the electric fire and watch your favourite shows on the TV.

When it's time to rest, choose from two well presented bedrooms; a king-size with a convenient en-suite featuring a basin and WC, and a twin room which can be converted into a super-king-size on request. Both rooms offer a tranquil space to unwind after a day of exploration. A well-appointed bathroom, complete with a bath, shower over, basin, and WC, serves the bedrooms.

Step outside onto the enclosed decking, where you can relax on the inviting furniture and soak in the hot tub, making the most of this serene setting.

Take a leisurely stroll through the expansive grounds of Felmoor Country Park, which consist of over 40 acres of serene Northumbrian countryside. You can also take advantage of the on-site amenities to watch a live sporting event, relax with your favourite beverage at the Crazy Horse Saloon Bar n Grill, or try your luck at the exhilarating arcade. Visit the animals at Northumberland County Zoo for an exciting day of fun, or try your golfing skills at Burgham Park Golf & Leisure Club. Alnwick is easily accessible and is the town that is home to Alnwick Castle, which is well-known for serving as the background of Hogwarts School in the "Harry Potter" film series, as well as the formal gardens of Alnwick Garden and its enchanted treehouse. Get your walking boots on and set out on an incredible journey through Northumberland National Park, which has some of the cleanest waters and purest air in all of England. Follow the many walking, cycling, and hiking trails to find the longest section of Hadrian's Wall, Kielder Forest, and the Cheviot Hills. Guaranteeing an experience of peace and pleasure, Acorn Lodge truly does offer a taste of Northumberland’s beautiful countryside living.

The delightful village of Felton is set in rural Northumberland, between Morpeth to the south and Alnwick to the north. The village has a shop with a post office, coffee shop, pub and restaurant, and is just 10 miles from Alnwick, with its Castle and now famous Garden, which features Europe's largest cascading water feature, an enormous tree house, a rose garden and an ornamental walled garden. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the "Harry Potter" films! Alnwick offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat and there is plenty to see and do, with miles of golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands all available nearby. Altogether a superb location for exploring Northumberland and its stunning Heritage Coastline.

The indoor games room on site could benefit from upgrading and maintenance but the property itself was perfect and we would not hesitate to return.
