Centred on Ladyburn Lake with surrounding meadows and woods, you can enjoy lovely walks here, before heading to the beach.The quaint seaport town of Amble can be reached in 6 minutes and is a bustling hub of local life with some excellent restaurants especially if you are a Seafood lover. Head to the charming marina where you can catch a Puffin Cruise to take you out to Coquet Island to see the sea bird paradise there as well as a grey seal colony. If you've ever wanted to learn how to surf, ride that wave and go to Northside Surf School or try out kayaking and canoeing with Adventure Northumberland at Warkworth. The Northumberland Country Zoo is a fun day out for all, see the lemurs, fallow deer, arctic foxes and otters among many other animals. The town of Alnwick also presents many attractions including Alnwick Castle where the first Harry Potter movie was filmed, Aln Valley Railway and The Alnwick Garden which is a day out in itself – don’t miss your opportunity to visit the ‘poison garden’!
