It's only 8 miles from Alnwick, with its iconic tree house and castle, famed as the backdrop behind Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. Miles of golden sand beaches, castles, and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands are all available nearby.

This time just wasn't as comfortable. It was just down to the sofa and chair. Do think they need updating and the decking is in need of a clean as it was slippery

The lodge is clean, comfortable and all you need to self cater. It's also very close to the A1 for Alnwick, Bamburgh and Seahouses. The A697 for Rothbury, Wooler or Coldstream. Ideal base for Walkers or just chilling at the beach.
