Ridley Lodge is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped facilities, making it an ideal base for exploring Northumberland. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including a welcome pack and provisions for dogs. The property's spaciousness and secure garden are recurrent positive notes, contributing to a homely and welcoming stay.
The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with numerous guests describing it as spotless and well-maintained. One review noted a need for attention in the garden and entrance, but this appears to be an isolated comment amidst overall excellent feedback.
The location is frequently commended for its convenience to local amenities and attractions, with easy access to both coastal and inland sites. The proximity to a village with a pub and bakery adds to the appeal, although one review mentioned an overgrown walkway.
Guests find the beds very comfortable and the house cosy, with ample space for families and pets. The property's layout and furnishings contribute to a relaxing stay, although one review mentioned dim bedside lighting.
The property is praised for its well-equipped kitchen and additional amenities. However, some guests noted issues with patio doors, window handles, and a lack of instructions for entertainment systems. While these are minor points, they suggest room for improvement in maintenance.
The hosts are recognised for their thoughtful gestures, such as providing a welcome pack and dog amenities. While these are appreciated, it is important to note that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

A few instruction on how to operate the tv would have been helpful but eventually sorted. Heating was erratic, came on through the night but not on some days & no instructions to programme (so didn't fiddle) Could save cost of running. Very spacious, comfortable settee's & beds, beau...ti...ful towels !! Loved the main bathroom, but needed some shelves as there could be a danger of things falling off the window still onto the cistern & bath. Very convenient location.

House was spotlessly clean and perfect for our short family break. We had everything we needed and couldn't have chosen a better home to stay at. I would absolutely recommend for anyone wanting to stay in a comfortable home with a great homely feel in a great location for visiting Northumberland

All commented that beds were very comfortable. Did not use bunk bed room so canât comment on that. Did not bring dog but garden would have been fine. A very small dog might be able to squeeze out one of the fences if chasing the squirrels! This house is very well equipped and spacious even for 8 guests I expect. Bed side lights a little dull for reading but no major criticisms at all. Couple of light bulbs need replacing and could not find any firefighters. Fairly easy 10 min walk to Northumberland Arms then a couple of mins across bridge into Felton with cafe/bakery and shop/Post Office. Ridley Lodge was a very comfortable property for us and would return if occasion arose in future. Anyone with special needs/disabilities should be aware all bedrooms are upstairs.
