Just ½ a mile from the acclaimed golf course at Burgham Park, the property is ideally located for exploring all of this friendly and unspoilt county. The lovely village of Felton has an award-winning pub and tearoom with a friendly village shop. The pretty historic town of Morpeth is only 9 miles with riverside boats, a great mix of shops, pubs, eateries, a swimming pool and parks. Being close to the A1 provides excellent access to Alnwick and all the major tourist spots. Alnwick is only 12 miles away and houses the large treehouse restaurant and the Castle. The Northumberland Country Zoo at Eshottheugh Farm is nearby, and a short drive takes you to Druridge Bay Nature Reserve with glorious sand dunes at the start of the Heritage Coast. ideally located to travel inland to Rothbury only 11 miles away, over to Hadrian’s Wall to Housesteads Roman Fort and museum, 39 miles away, and the vibrant city of Newcastle is only 24 miles. Beach 10½ miles. Shop and pub 2½ miles, restaurant ½ mile.

    We had a fantastic stay at The Stables. It had everything we needed for 9 of us to have a comfortable and fun stay. The host was friendly and helpful and left fresh eggs and fruit for us which was really lovely. Great size hot tub, nice big rooms and all en suite with a shared bathroom downstairs. Only 15-20 mins drive to the coast for a lovely beach walk. Only issue was the wifi, which wouldn't connect to the TV. Not a major issue as some of us have unlimited phone data and could easily connect the TV to our phones to use Netflix etc.
