Guests say

The Waves in Northumberland receives high praise for its stunning location, exceptional views, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, comfortable beds, and the thoughtful welcome basket. While most experiences are positive, some guests mention issues with maintenance, comfort of the furniture, and a challenging experience with the property's deposit policy. Overall, the property offers a memorable stay with minor areas for improvement.

Guests consistently describe the property as spotlessly clean, indicating a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.

The property's location is highly praised for its magnificent sea views and proximity to local amenities and attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the Northumberland coast.

The majority of guests find the beds comfortable and the property peaceful. However, some guests mention hard sofas and pillows, and suggest improvements could be made for a more restful sleep.

The property is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and guests are pleased with the facilities provided. However, there are comments about the TVs being difficult to operate, a non-working DVD player, and suggestions for additional items like fans and a handrail for accessibility.

While guests mention a welcome basket, there is not enough information to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host consistently across reviews. Therefore, the score is set to null, and it should be noted that such gestures are appreciated but not guaranteed.

Everything we needed for self-catering was provided and the timed central heating was very welcome at such a cold time of year. The beds were spacious and comfortable, we can’t remember sleeping so soundly. The amazing views from the upstairs lounge took our breath away every time we entered the room. Thank you for sharing ‘The Waves’ with us. We will be back.

Everything about it we loved. Fabulous location, views from the huge window were amazing, so peaceful. The decor has been beautifully done and everything is of the best quality . The beds and bedding were so comfy too. The kitchen had everything you needed. Loads of utensils and crockery. The enclosed private sitting out area is great too. We could have stayed longer and will def return. 5 stars to the owner and cleaner because it was immaculate. We wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you .

We loved every minute of our stay. There was more than enough room for the 6 adults and 1 dog who visited and being multi-generational it was lovely that the younger adults had a separate snug to use whilst us oldies relaxed in the lounge. The only minor issue (and this is as minor as it can be) is that the TV was quite glitchy on some of the channels, which was worse depending on the wind/weather conditions. The owners should be immensely proud of what they have achieved here and we are very grateful that they are generously sharing it with everyone. The welcome hamper was very much appreciated. Thank you. One final thing I just want to mention is that there is a step at the side of the property just down the path from the bins which isn't obvious, as the stone is all the same colour and on the last day as we were leaving, my husband fell down it as he didn't see it, so could I suggest a warning sign or that the step is highlighted in some way please to make it more visible. Thank you
