Set in lovely countryside, this comfortable and spacious detached holiday home, mainly all on the ground floor, lies in a quiet area next to the owner’s state-of-the-art equestrian centre. Only 2 minutes from the A697 yet set in open countryside with beautiful views and walks from the doorstep, with the Devils Causeway crossing the field by the property. The lovely conservatory, with its seating area and countryside views, is an ideal place in which to wind down after a busy day out. There is a 90 square metre fully enclosed area in the garden for dogs. The cottage is in a great location to explore the many visitor attractions in Northumberland. Alnwick Castle is only 14½ miles away and featured in the Harry Potter films, so will delight children and adults alike. Rothbury is only 8½ miles away with a good selection of pubs and cafés, and pretty riverside. The National Trust’s property, Cragside, should not be missed while you’re visiting Rothbury. The coast is only 14½ miles at Druridge Bay and Otterburn is 22 miles where you can travel into the acclaimed Dark Sky National Park, and perhaps include a visit to Kielder as well. The small village of Longhorsely has a village shop and pub and is only 2¼ miles away. The pretty and historic town of Morpeth is only 9 miles with plenty of pubs and shops as well as a swimming pool and riverside rowing boats. Beach 13 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2¼ miles.

5 adults & 2 dogs enjoyed a fabulous week in this spacious super cosy house. Everything you could need (for both humans & pooches) was already provided- even start up fresh milk, wine & logs, dog bowls & bags!The Aga was amazing! On one very windy night the wind knocked the Aga pilot off - owner arrived promptly & tried to restart, but without success. Plumber was alerted & the problem sorted first thing next morning- very impressive!!Location is ideal & safe for dogs, but gloriously quiet & restful. All visitor attractions within 20/30 minutes drive through lovely countryside. We'll definitely return only can't find available dates for next year - not surprised 😦 (A hairdryer would be only added comfort as we left ours at home! But that's being picky!)

Lovely big house. Lots of room to spread out and relax. Host was lovely and responded to our one query very quickly. Lots of towels provided but the bath towels are on the small side. The kitchen was very well equipped with lots of crockery. The only thing missing was a set of kitchen scales.

Its an amazing place to stay with everything you need , it's so big plenty of space for everyone. Its a great just to chill out or plenty of places to visit by car I will definitely go back
