This wonderful, mid-terrace cottage is situated just a short walk from the sea, in the bustling port of Amble, nine miles south of Alnwick, on the Heritage Coastline. Tastefully furnished, the cottage is ideally located for a family beach holiday in the summer or as a touring base for friends, all year round. The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Historically a centre for boatbuilding, Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters - the daily catch can be bought at a fish shop in the harbour. A great base for exploring the Heritage Coast.

The sofas were worn and hard to get up from , the saucepans were a disgrace & unable to use them. Kitchen cupboards need cleaning & reorganising also the bathroom towels were thin &grey. I left a note for the owner but despite these issues we enjoyed our time in Northumberland.

Garden front and back could have been a bit better maintained. Was generally clean but could have been a bit better in kitchen and bathroom. Information Booklet provided could do with some updating. House was comfortable and good location for going out, so enjoyed despite problems.

We found the house very pleasant and airy. The bathroom had a good shower. The main bedroom had a very comfortable bed but the twin bedroom had beds which rattled. Some of the bedroom sockets did not work. The kitchen had a couple of issues. One of the chairs was broken and the set of pans needs to be replaced. With a few tweaks this could be a very good holiday let.
