This ground floor apartment (not cottage) has everything you need - we had wonderful weather for the week so only indoors to shower and sleep. The location is great for exploring the Northumberland coast. The bed was really comfy and shower did the job, and the welcome treats for dogs and humans was a nice touch. I'm not sure I'd want to stay here if we'd needed to stay indoors more, I stayed with my dog as a solo traveller and it was just ok space wise but I wouldn't have wanted another person there too. The front door is on the main high street which made me feel a little vulnerable entering and leaving. It's also at the entrance to the high street car park which is also a cut through to a housing estate behind - quite noisey on Saturday night and when the bakery has a morning delivery at 5.30am. Overall I'd say this is good value for money when comparing prices in the area.

A compact but comfortable accommodation with full kitchen facilities and very dog friendly. The location is brilliant, only a 3 minute walk to the promenade and seafront. If you prefer for self catering, the Coop over the road is very well stocked and should cater for most needs. For take aways, next door is a very good bakery and within a few doors you'll find, fish and chips, pizza, Chinese and other food outlets. Parking is in a small secluded car park at the rear of the property. There's plenty of walking from the front door, or if you prefer, good driving roads to all the attractions that the local area has to offer.....and beyond.All in all, a great location for South Northumberland and Tyneside.
