Reubens Retreat is a welcoming three-bedroom holiday home sleeping up to six guests, perfectly placed in the coastal town of Newbiggin-by-the-Sea and less than a mile from the beach. Thoughtfully laid out and ideal for families or friends, the property combines comfort, space and a fantastic location for exploring Northumberland.
Inside, the ground floor features a bright open-plan kitchen and dining area, fully equipped for relaxed self-catering and complete with a Smart TV for easy evenings in. A separate utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer, ideal for longer stays or sandy beach days. The cosy lounge is a real highlight, with a gas woodburner-style fire, Smart TV and a selection of games, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a day out. Upstairs, you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms: two twin rooms and a king-size bedroom. The recently renovated bathroom has been finished to a high standard, offering both a bath and a spacious double walk-in shower. Outside, there is a private rear area that can also be used for off-street parking. Please note, dogs are not permitted at this property.
Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is a charming seaside town with a growing reputation for its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful coastline. Overall a very good holiday cottage in a residential street. The property is well equipped and would be ideal for a family with several children. The welcome pack was very much appreciated and everything was spotlessly clean. Parking at the front of the property was often impossible but the enclosed yard at the rear was big enough for our medium sized SUV so it would take most family cars..The property is less suitable for people who are older, of less than average height or who have mobility issues. The stairs are quite steep and there are steps down into the bathroom, which is upstairs, and into two of the bedrooms. There is also a step up from the landing to the corridor leading to the main bedrooms and the bathroom which was easy to trip over. The provision of a folding plastic step stool in the kitchen and bathroom would be very helpful as would an anti-slip mat in the shower and grab rails over the bath and in the shower.

Beautifully renovated and refurbished terraced house close to beach. Spotlesly clean and very well equipped throughout. Hosts were very helpful and responsive. Private parking in gated courtyard at the back of the property was really handy because the on street parking was a bit limited. Just to note there are a couple of fairly steep stairs down into the bathroom plus a step down into the smallest bedroom. Also the parking is quite tight so may be a isue if you have a large car.
