Guests are generally pleased with Inveray, praising its comfortable furnishings, well-stocked kitchen, and enclosed garden. The property's proximity to the beach and town centre, along with its sea views, make it a desirable location. While some minor cleanliness and maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Most guests found Inveray to be clean and well-presented, with only a few mentioning areas that could benefit from additional attention, such as windows, TV screens, and kitchenware. The property was described as spotless by some, indicating a high standard of cleanliness overall.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, town, and scenic walks, with many guests appreciating the sea views. Its position is considered ideal for exploring Northumberland, contributing to a positive experience.
Guests consistently mention the comfort of the beds and the cosy atmosphere of the property. The presence of a log burner and the property's spaciousness contribute to a comfortable stay, although a suggestion for an additional armchair indicates room for improvement.
The property is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, and guests appreciate the enclosed garden and ample parking. However, some guests noted that certain facilities, such as the freezer and utensils, could be updated or replaced, and a few maintenance issues were raised.
Several guests were delighted by thoughtful touches such as welcome gifts, including milk, biscuits, Prosecco, and even a present for a dog. While these gestures are warmly received, it is important to note that such gifts are a courtesy and may not be provided on every occasion.

Itâs the most comfortable let weâve stayed in, the beds and sofas were exceptional. The garden is essentially enclosed (unless you have an inquisitive border terrier who managed to get into the neighbours garden!) and the nest of collared doves outside the kitchen window was a lovely bonus. My main criticism is in the bathroom, thereâs no handheld shower hose attached to the bath and the separate shower is quite small and tight up against the sink so if youâre big (my husband is 6â2) itâs not the easiest to use and thereâs nowhere to put your toiletries while showering. The addition of the hose on the bath would make all the difference for us staying next time. We would definitely recommend the house, the welcome pack was a nice touch too. The carpet in the lounge is quite stained but I guess weâre nearing the end of the season and Iâm sure that would be cleaned ready for next year.

This is the 4th time we have rented this property. We do feel that there are a few things which could do with updating or maintaining. 1. Small shower head is loose. No place to put any washing toiletries 2. Some kitchen utensils could be replaced I.e. knives are dull, plastic spoons broken and food grabber unusable. Dish rack not practical. No dishcloth. 3. Overall the kitchen looks tired. 4. Outside is a pleasant space but maybe a lick of paint and a better step out of the patio doors would be a plus. Grass is growing out of the gutter. Overall the cottage is cosy, location is ideal, garden is perfect for us and we enjoyed our stay.

A fantastic property in an amazing location, close to the town, excellent Italian and Indian Restaurant, beach, walks and some wonderful views and night skies. There were six of us, all the facilities were available and there was more than enough room for us without feeling crowded. Our VERY big dog loved the garden and spent many happy hours sleeping and basking in the sunshine. So many thanks to the owner for allowing us such a wonderful stay.
