Visit Budle Bay, a bird sanctuary, where at low tide a vast expanse of mud flats is home to countless thousands of sea and land birds, making this location a haven for bird watchers.

The market town of Alnwick, with its own majestic castle, cobbled streets and friendly locals offers many facilities a few miles inland. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction, with its grand cascade waterfall and restaurant (set within the largest tree house in Europe) and fabulous theme park, Lilidorei. The flat was great, spacious, well equipped, spotlessly clean and welcoming - thank you. Finding a lift when we arrived was a real bonus for two people who don't travel light. We plan to return.

Went off season, & although weather was poor & we had colds, we were warm & comfortable & managed to see & do something different every day. Key codes were a bit tricky but the owner was helpful.
