Seahouses is just a few minutes’ walk which has a good selection of amenities as well as miles of sandy beaches and because it’s located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you are guaranteed a whole host of beautiful walks and hikes rewarded by some stunning views along the way. Take a boat trip which run daily from Seahouses to Farne islands where you can look out for birds and seals. Further afield there are magnificent castles to discover such as Dunstanburgh, Warkworth, Lindisfarne and Cragside, with towns such as the historic market town of Alnwick; Alnmouth known for its excellent golf course; and Bamburgh with its infamous castle.

Nearby are miles and miles of splendid sandy beaches and the opportunity to visit the bird sanctuary or seal colony on the famous Farne Islands with boat trips running daily from Seahouses, is not to be missed. There are numerous castles and great houses to explore, such as the magnificent castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (home of the Duke of Northumberland), to mention just a few. Golf, fishing and riding are also available locally.
