Guests say

The Coracle is a charming cottage in Seahouses, praised for its fantastic location near the harbour, beaches, and local amenities. Guests appreciate its traditional features, well-equipped kitchen, and overall comfort. While many found the property clean and cosy, some noted areas needing deeper cleaning and minor repairs. Parking can be challenging, especially in peak season, and the shower and water pressure have been mentioned as issues. Despite these points, most guests enjoyed their stay and found the cottage a great base for exploring the area.

Several guests found the cottage spotless and well-presented, especially the kitchen and bathroom. However, others mentioned areas needing a more thorough clean, such as behind beds, corners, and blinds. Overall, cleanliness is generally good but with some inconsistencies.

The location is consistently praised, with guests loving the proximity to the harbour, beaches, shops, and local attractions. Some mention minor noise from nearby pubs, but the convenience and setting are standout positives.

Guests found the cottage comfortable, with cosy beds and a welcoming atmosphere. However, some noted the property can be dark and cold, and a few mentioned dated furniture and a need for more homely touches. The shower size and water temperature were also raised as concerns.

The cottage is well-equipped, but several guests highlighted maintenance issues such as the shower, water pressure, broken towel rails, and the need for redecorating. Lack of outdoor space and parking difficulties were also mentioned.

Some guests noted the cottage is more dog-tolerant than dog-friendly, with no special provisions for pets. There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extras, and it should be noted that such items are not guaranteed.

A great location and a lovely cottage, although the place was spotless particularly the Kitchen and Bathroom there was an issue with what seemed to be a dusty/gritty flour throughout, walk around in socks and white socks very quickly get dirty. Having thought about this it's possible that with the roof windows open, out side dust, sand, grit gets blown in.The other issue was poor water pressure, odd that this can't be easily sorted. We did have an issue with the waste water coming from the bathroom Spilling out of the man hole just outside the front door. I contacted the letting agent and it was fixed within 24 hours, excellent response.General very happy with our stay.

Loved our holiday in the Coracle, it was well equipped and comfortable and in a great location. Only minor downside was no dedicated parking, but we didn’t have a much problem parking somewhere close by in the opposite side street or just round the corner. The water pressure was low but didn’t really cause too much of a problem.

The cottage is lovely, and the location is great for exploring Seahouses and Northumberland. Unfortunately, the thing that spoils this cottage is the shower, it's downright dangerous. The water from is scolding hot or freezing cold. If you are travelling with children be very careful!! Do not let them shower alone.I have since read other reviews and see that the shower is an ongoing problem, I am very disappointed, given the feedback that this has not been remedied.
