Reiver's Rest is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable beds, and fabulous hot tub. Guests enjoyed the thoughtful Christmas tree, the peaceful surroundings ideal for dog walks, and the well-equipped kitchen. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, but these did not detract from the overall positive experience.
Guests consistently mentioned that the property was clean upon arrival, with everything 'spick and span', contributing to a pleasant stay.
While the property is described as peaceful and surrounded by nature, there are not enough specific comments about the location to accurately score this category.
The comfort of the beds and the size of the lodge were highlighted, indicating a high level of comfort for guests. The provision of a hot tub also added to the comfort of the stay.
Facilities like the hot tub and kitchen equipment were appreciated, though some minor maintenance issues and a lack of clarity on heating controls were mentioned.
The inclusion of a Christmas tree was a thoughtful touch appreciated by guests. However, as gifts are not consistently mentioned, it should be noted that such thoughtful gestures are not guaranteed.

We had an enjoyable stay at the lodge. The space itself is a good size, with plenty of room to relax, and the beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was also a great size and perfect for unwinding. Everything was clean on arrival, and it was nice to have tea, coffee, and sugar provided.**Handy Hints for Future Guests**A few things to be aware of: hot tub towels are not supplied, so make sure to bring your own. It would be helpful if the lodge had a sign with name of lodge and welcome pack explaining the heating, as when we arrived it was freezing and the heating wasn’t on. Bring flip-flops for using the hot tub, and it’s also worth packing extra bin bags and toilet roll as only a limited initial supply is provided.Overall, a lovely lodge with just a few things to keep in mind for a comfortable stay.
