Wooler 2.7 miles.
Pansy Plot is a traditional holiday home, tucked away near Wooler within a collection of charming stone cottages. Providing a wonderful base from which a small family or group of four can explore the magnificent Northumberland countryside. As you approach, the traditional stone exterior rises against the backdrop of rolling hills, its rustic charm inviting you closer and setting the tone for the authentic character that flows throughout the home. You can look forward to returning to this welcoming abode following an unforgettable adventure exploring the area. Be welcomed by an oak kitchen with tiled flooring and classic wooden fixtures that echo the cottage’s heritage, hosting all the essentials for a self-catering stay. Cook up a storm at the electric oven and hob, before making your way through to the living/dining room where wooden floors complement tasteful artwork on the walls, and a sofa with two inviting armchairs creates the perfect spot to relax and share stories from the day’s adventures. Here, you can tuck into your marvellous meal and discuss your most memorable moments from the holiday so far. Fling open the doors and head outside for drinks on the patio, watching as the sun begins to set on another incredible day. Back inside, two well-appointed bedrooms await you; both carpeted for comfort, with the double offering fresh white linens and generous storage, and the twin dressed in charming country-style furnishings. Each bedroom is enhanced by original beams and its own rustic stone feature wall, creating a warm, atmospheric retreat that feels truly unique. Across the way, a light and spacious bathroom complete with a tub and overhead shower can be found servicing both bedrooms—a wonderful space to prepare for the days ahead. Beyond the cottage, Akeld Manor offers an array of facilities to make your stay truly special: enjoy lively games at the snooker and football tables, take a refreshing dip in the shimmering swimming pool, or unwind with a drink at the rustic bar. Families will love the dedicated play areas, while those planning a celebration will discover endless possibilities for weddings and events, supported by trusted contacts for caterers, florists, marquees, celebrants and more. And for a magical touch, keep watch for the elusive Cheviot goats—graceful, enchanting creatures that roam the wild hills and, on rare and unforgettable occasions, wander into the gardens, adding a storybook moment to your countryside escape. Live many happy memories with your loved ones on a holiday at Pansy Plot.

The wallpaper was peeling in small areas, we could not work out how the heated towel rail operated, a shelf above or either side of the sink would be useful for somewhere to put things eg toothpaste, toothbrushes etc, and also a hook or rail adjacent to the shower to hang your towel on rather than on the floor while showering. Other wise we found the cottage comfortable and well equipped for our needs, and was clean on arrival.
