Sleeping up to eight guests, the property is ideal for groups or families, walkers are particularly attracted to this area with walks from the door into the gorgeous countryside. It is said that Postman Pat’s ’Greendale’ is based on Wooler, being the gateway to the Cheviots. Nearby there is the Ad Gefrin Anglo-Saxon Museum and Whisky Distillery, here you can do a tour of the distillery and have a tasting session to try their selection of whiskeys. Wooler is on the edge of the National Park and is only 15 miles to Berwick on Tweed, with a beautiful beach and plenty of shops and history. All of the Scottish Borders are easily explored from here, with Coldstream only 14 miles and Kelso a little further. Edinburgh is only 90 minutes away.

Absolutely fabulous location and property. As soon as we walked through the door it felt like home. The only thing missing from all the appliances and gadgets was a step ladder to reach the top cupboards (sorry my mum is under 5ft). So clean and peaceful and the people in Wooler are so welcoming. The Tipsy Angel is fantastic Irish Pub with character and a good beer garden. We loved it that much that we have booked to return.

Comfortable sofas which is not the norm in holiday cottages. Very clean inside. Lots of nice extras. And David responded very quickly when there was an issue with the cooker and it was fixed by an engineer within the hour. Putting the house number on the instructions would be good.
