Guests have praised the holiday rental for its cleanliness, welcoming atmosphere, and convenient location close to shops and attractions. The hot tub is frequently mentioned as a highlight, adding to the comfort of the stay. The property is well-decorated and cosy, making it a homely base for exploring the North Yorkshire area. While there are minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvement, the overall experience is highly regarded by families and pet owners alike.
The property is generally described as very clean and well-kept, with several guests highlighting its spotlessness. However, one review mentioned dog hairs, which suggests occasional lapses in cleaning standards.
The location is highly praised for being central, with easy access to local shops, pubs, and restaurants. It is also well-situated for exploring nearby seaside towns and the countryside.
Many reviews note the property as cosy and comfortable, with good quality bedding and a homely feel. The presence of a hot tub adds to the comfort, although one review mentioned the sofa being a bit soft.
Facilities like the hot tub are appreciated, but there are comments about the lack of recycling, basic TV, and a need for more crockery. A maintenance issue with a side panel is also noted.
While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owner beyond providing contact information and ensuring a comfortable stay.

Guisborough is an attractive market town set in rural surroundings on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Steeped in history, Guisborough is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the town's most notable feature is the beautiful ruined abbey, Gisborough Priory; standing in full glory, to its original height of 97 feet, the dramatic gothic east gable towers high over the market town and has become a well-known icon of the town. This bustling small town has twice-weekly market days, a good selection of eateries, excellent pubs and many independent shops. Around Guisborough sits the spectacular woodland of Guisborough Forest. Guisborough Forest & Walkway is situated in Pinchinthorpe on the outskirts of Guisborough at the northern end of the A173. It extends for 2.5 miles along part of the route followed by the old Guisborough Branch Railway line, heading west towards Nunthorpe, and east to Guisborough Forest, which is managed by Forest Enterprise. It is a gateway site to the North York Moors National Park and offers splendid views of Roseberry Topping to the south. Points of local interest include Highcliff Nab and Hanging Stone. Captain Cook 92s Monument is also within walking distance. The Cleveland Way and the Tees Link walks pass through Guisborough Forest, and are just two of the many walking routes easily accessible to visitors. This super country park has cycle trails, walking routes, bridleways, a trim trail and an easier sculpture trail. The park includes the Guisborough Walkway which runs along the former trackbed of the Middlesbrough to Whitby railway line. This includes a wetland area with boardwalks, woodlands and grasslands. You can also climb Highcliff Nab for fabulous views of Teeside and the coast. The park is also very popular with mountain bikers with a number of super trails to explore. There is an excellent visitor centre with full details of all the trails in the park. The long distant trail of the Cleveland Way passes close by, whilst nearby Roseberry Topping is well worth the climb to take in the spectacular views. An easy thirty minute drive brings you to the Heritage Coastline, with historic villages and resorts, including Staithes, Saltburn and Whitby to enjoy.

Everything in the property is to a high standard and lovely and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we loved the hot tub. You are a few minute walk to the centre of Guisborough were you will find plenty of pubs and eateries. We visited Saltburn by the sea and Staithes. I would certainly recommend this property it is home away from home.

We often book this kind of break for ourselves and our 4 legged friend and normally spend most days out. Here we felt very comfortable and enjoyed some well needed rest days in the property too without feeling it was just a base. The property is well cared for and lovingly looked after we would recommend staying here for a nice relaxing break Lots of places to visit on the doorstep and shops restaurants etc easy to access within a few minutes walk. Only had one slight issue with parking permit which wasn't the owners fault and a quick call sorted that out fast and easily which was perfect top Amazing place can't wait to go back

Was spotlessly clean and the hot tub was an added bonus. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. Good central spot for traveling to other places for days out. The priory and grounds are spectacular. Located on a busy road in the centre of town .
