The Ascot in Blackpool offers a prime location with easy access to attractions and the beach, appreciated for its spaciousness and outdoor space. While guests enjoyed the added amenities like a games room, some noted the need for maintenance and a more thorough cleaning. The property provides a comfortable stay with ample bathrooms and a large kitchen table, though some improvements in furnishings are suggested.
Several guests mentioned the need for a more thorough cleaning throughout the property, including the games room, garden, and a bathroom that was reported to have an odour. The cleanliness aspect has room for improvement.
The property is consistently praised for its excellent location, close to the sea, attractions, and the Blackpool Tower, making it a convenient choice for visitors looking to explore the area.
Guests found the property comfortable, with a spacious layout and private bathrooms. However, some mentioned the need for better window coverage in the downstairs bedroom and more stable kitchen chairs.
The property boasts a range of facilities including a games room and outdoor space. However, guests reported issues with maintenance, such as wobbly chairs and a games table needing repair, and a mix-up with parking.

We have experience of many types of accommodation of various sizes and locations and I very rarely do a low review but we were so disappointed with this accommodation.Blackpool itself looked so sad and run down. The accommodation was within walking distance of the beach and had parking for two cars (not three) and had plenty of space and bedrooms within the property. That was what we thought was good. Unfortunately the standard of the furnishing's were not great. Two sofas had covers on them which ment that they did not all fit together properly and moved apart when you sat on them. One sofa is so low and soft it was not comfortable at all. The dining room chairs were unsteady and felt like they were going to break, the kitchen was okay but small for the size of the property. All the beds were quite uncomfortable and the quality of the covers were not great. The en-suites need a lot of love and attention and the flooring in a few of them needs replacing. The showers were not good at all, running hot and cold and not much pressure. As it was a hotel previously the doors are heavy fire doors. I realise there is probably not much that can be done with them but it means the spaces are not very homely. If you are a group of adults wanting to be out most of the time and just need a base then this would be good but if you are a family wanting to spend time together both in and out of the accommodation I would suggest this might not be for you. The accommodation has so much potential but it really needs some time and money spent on it.

Our stay was great, only issues were in the house the downstairs bedroom had no bin either in room or bathroom and was rather restricted to when could have a bath as no coverage on window and people outside on the porch Outside can see in tho frosted window.Kitchen was short of cooking utensils only one large panBut few little ones, just enough knives forks no veg peeler and few dodgy knives lolWe took our own slow cooker and air fryer Maybe an elaxa or a way of playing music downstairs would be nice too.with it being Christmas we soon filled up the orange bin but I'm sure other times of the year it will be fine The dog cleaning sink is great tho would be an idea to add say maybe a stretchy hose so a good cleanup of the astro turf can be done
