A spacious well appointed barn conversation. Finished to a high standard. Quiet looking across field to canal. Good sized garden/outdoor space. Good parking.Half an hour from M6, ten minutes to shops, five minutes to nearby pub, longer if walking. About an hour from Peak District hills, same to Alton Towers. Under an hour to historic Chester and its zoo. Lots to do in the area though it’s not traditionally a holiday area. Good walks along the Canal. Our family of three generations enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was very clean and everything we needed was there in the way of furniture and kitchen equipment. The only two concerns we had were:1) The bottom step of the stairs was dangerous if you had poor sight or mobility. The carpet ended at the step before the bottom and the bottom step was wood - which blended in with the floor below. Possibly a dark line on this step would make it more visible.2) The twin bedroom was advertised as having an en-suite. However there wasn't one in that room. Just a family bathroom on the landing.
