These superb barn conversions can be found in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside surrounded by fields, which on the right nights even offer stunning sunsets. Set around a pretty courtyard on the friendly owner’s working farm, as a former milking parlour they’re both full of character with exposed beams, brick and high vaulted ceilings. They boast underfloor heating and make a wonderful base from which to explore the attractions of the surrounding area.
In nearby Middlewich, just a ten-minute drive away, you’ll find ample amenities together with a beautiful meandering canal system perfect for towpath cycling or strolls. Approximately fifteen minutes in the other direction is the pretty half-timbered town of Nantwich, which offers good shopping and quite uniquely, a seasonal outdoor salt swimming pool.
Halfway between Chester, approximately forty-five minutes away and Manchester, around sixty minutes, the location is within easy reach of a whole host of visitor attractions. Many National Trust properties, such as Tatton Park, Little Moreton Hall and Dunham Massey, can all be reached in around 30 minutes.
The castles of Beeston, Cholmondeley and Peckforton are also approximately 30 minutes away, as are Delamere Forest and Wild Shore Delamere. Chester Zoo and the Blue Planet Aquarium are both about forty-five minutes away, as is the Peak District National Park. Swapping coast for countryside, you can reach the coastal areas of North Wales and Liverpool in around an hour, or enjoy the thrills and spills of Britain’s premier theme park, Alton Towers. You are spoilt for choice!

This was just what we were after, a spacious house where we could all fit so we could enjoy the festive period together. Lots of space, well equipped beautiful barn conversion. Would highly recommend and would consider renting again if needed.

The property was spacious and the photos do not do it justice. A floor plan would convey how big the property is.Our only problem with the property was that it relies on an air source heat pump for heating and hot water but only has a small hot water tank (160 litres). This is only sufficient for two showers in a property that sleeps nine people. There is no immersion heater so you have to wait for the air source heat pump to heat up more hot water. Heating downstairs is by means of underfloor heating pipes. The hall was always warm but the other downstairs rooms were cool and there were no instructions on how to adjust the heating. Upstairs heating is by radiators but none worked so the whole of the upstairs was cold.

There were 5 of us that met up for a one night stay at the barn. We wanted somewhere quiet to catch up and this ticked our boxes. It was perfect for us and we would definitely recommend
