Hill Farm is a well-received cottage offering a comfortable and relaxing stay, with tasteful decor and a welcoming atmosphere. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, the serene farm location, and the comfortable beds. The games room is a hit among families, and the garden is enjoyed by children and pets alike. Some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements are noted, but overall, guests have had enjoyable stays and would recommend the property.
The property is generally found to be clean and well-presented. However, there are isolated comments about dirty utensils and the need to wash items before use, which slightly impacts the score.
The location is praised for its quietness and proximity to Nantwich and local pubs/restaurants. It is considered a positive aspect of the property, contributing to the relaxing experience.
Guests find the beds particularly comfortable and the property cosy and warm, which enhances the overall comfort of their stay. The presence of a games room and a spacious garden adds to the comfort level.
The property is well-equipped with a few exceptions. Guests mention the lack of a washing machine and some maintenance issues like unreliable Wi-Fi, doors that don't close properly, and a need for better heating in the games room. These factors lead to a good but not excellent score.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Wrenbury is on the Shropshire Union Canal in south Cheshire, near Nantwich and Whitchurch. Wrenbury has a Post Office, shops, two pubs, a church, and a village green. Nantwich, on the River Weaver and Shropshire Union Canal, is nearby. It's famous for its outdoor Brine Pool, which is heated all summer. Weekly markets and a monthly farmers' market showcase local produce. In spring and summer, Nantwich's pedestrianised town centre comes alive with floral displays. The garden was brilliant, yes itâs not completely secure, but as our dog is big she couldnât get through the fence and the only other gaps are by where you park the cars. Next doors dog did appear on the garden a few times so that could be an issue for some. The oil boiler is a different smell to what we are all used to at home but for us it wasnât an issue and we spent many hours in the kitchen enjoying the space. A barrier at the bottom of the stairs would be a good addition to stop four legged friends going upstairs. And the quirky doors not shutting adds to the charm but maybe the couple of gaps in the downstairs bathroom door could be filled in. So would I recommend Hill Farmâ¦. 100%. YES!!

We were booked in for a week, but only could stay 3 nights, as there was an awful smell from the boiler when it fired up, and it was not heathy, we reported it to the number given to us and was told there was nothing wrong with the boiler, it was coming from outside, but reading a feedback that has not gone on your website other people have raised the issue of the boiler !!!! There was no teapot in the cottage which after ringing the Owner who was away on holiday, got someone to drop one off, but said there has never been a one in the cottage. !!!! Then thereâs more dirty utensils, we had to wash everything and the freezer had four drawer but couldnât get them open properly because it all needed defrosting, I told the Owner but she couldnât do anything because she was away on holiday, I was on holiday as well!!!! Dirty baking trays which I have thrown better away. The light switch cord in the upstairs bathroom was to say the least filthy. We reported this all to Sykes, but on a plus side of things the beds were very comfortable. .

It's a beautiful house and garden and had all the necessities. it was very clean, cosy and warm and the beds were very comfortable! A couple of things we might suggest to make it a little more dog friendly: As dogs are not allowed upstairs, maybe a stair gate would be handy. A fully fenced garden would make it so that everyone could relax a little more and dogs can enjoy the lovely big garden. (We had a little visitor a couple of times in the garden, in the shape of a cute dog who I assume lives on the farm, not a problem for us but could be for some people/dogs). One more suggestion would be to add a BBQ to make the most of the garden. The only complaint would be that the boiler in the kitchen does give off quite a strong oil smell. Thank you for a lovely stay.
