Guests say

Guests have enjoyed stays at this well-equipped and immaculate cottage, praising its fantastic location adjacent to Delamere Forest and convenient amenities. The property offers a cosy atmosphere with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom, making it a great base for exploring the area.

The property is generally well-kept, with several reviews highlighting its cleanliness. However, some guests noted issues such as unclean windows, a sofa needing a vacuum, and a few instances of overlooked areas. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to Delamere Forest, train station, and local attractions. It's ideal for outdoor activities and provides a scenic setting, although there is a mention of nearby construction noise.

Guests find the beds and pillows comfortable, and the presence of a big bath and well-equipped kitchen adds to the comfort. Some concerns were raised about the initial temperature of the cottage and the effectiveness of the heating system.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and secure parking. However, there are comments about the need for better clothes hanging space, the absence of a laid fire, and some maintenance issues like heating and hot water inconsistencies.

While some guests mentioned welcome treats, others did not receive any, indicating inconsistency. It's important to note that while such gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed and may vary from stay to stay.

The location alone is unbeatable. Walk across the road and you have delamere forest the train station and cafe. Short 2-5 minute drive to the local shop and pub. The house itself is beautiful and very cosy. Two nice sized bedrooms and large bathroom. Kitchen is well equipped and living spaces more than adequate for our family. There were zero issues with the heating or hot water, ignore any previous reviews, in fact if anything it was too warm!! The only criticism we had was the crockery and cutlery were left very dirty from the previous guests and we had to wash them all. Not a big deal as there is a dishwasher. Oh and they went the extra mile to make it feel like Xmas with a tree and bottle of mulled wine! We visit the area a lot and won’t look anywhere else from now on.

A great cosy homely place to stay with so much to do in the local area within a short drive like Chester, Cheshire oaks and walking distance to the forest Could do with a bit of maintenance and tlc throughout as you can tell it is well used and evidence of dogs on the sofa which I cleaned However otherwise it was very clean and nice to be provided with washing up liquids and soaps and cleaning products much appreciated Nice cosy feel and great comfy beds and shower and bath great We would definitely recommend
