Pets are also well catered for with pet-friendly facilities such as bowls, mats and throws provided. Patio doors to the front of the lodge lead to a secure enclosed decked area just perfect for a morning coffee and meaning those with small children and four legged friends can truly relax throughout the warm summer months.
A peaceful stroll down a quiet country lane will lead you to Kelsall village where you’ll find a selection of characterful pubs providing locally sourced food, real ales and excellent wines. At the top end of Kelsall Hill is Delamere Forest which is a paradise for nature enthusiasts. Take your furry friend for a leisurely stroll along the picturesque trails, enjoy a picnic amidst the towering trees, or indulge in some outdoor activities such as Go Ape, segways, cycling or horseback riding. Treat yourself to a delightful experience at Cheshire Ice Cream Farm, a popular family attraction and just a 20-minute drive away. Besides their delicious ice cream, the farm offers various activities for all ages, including an adventure play park, farm animals to meet, and scenic walking trails.
You can embark on a historical adventure by visiting Beeston Castle - again around 20 minutes away. Here you can explore the medieval ruins, marvel at panoramic views from the hilltop, and enjoy a peaceful walk through the surrounding woodlands. The castles of Cholmondley and Peckferton are also easily accessible and the Sandstone Trail can be picked up locally. We had a wonderful holiday. The lodge was immaculately clean, everything we needed was there. The owner kept in touch via text which was nice.Where the lodge is located is handy for Chester, Wrexham, and the Wirral.You will not be disappointed if you stay here.
