Guests consistently mention the cottage’s cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped kitchen, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing break. The location is convenient for exploring Chester, North Wales, and local attractions, with several pubs and shops nearby. Thoughtful touches from the hosts, such as homemade biscuits and wine, are appreciated, though not guaranteed. Some guests noted the absence of WiFi and minor preferences regarding beds and showers, but overall, the experience is overwhelmingly positive.

Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as spotlessly clean and well maintained, with guests feeling comfortable and at home throughout their stay.

The property is praised for its idyllic, peaceful setting with beautiful views, while still being conveniently located for local attractions, walks, and amenities.

Guests describe the cottage as comfortable, cosy, and homely. A few mention personal preferences regarding bed softness and shower pressure, but overall comfort is rated highly.

The cottage is well equipped, with a good kitchen and outdoor seating. However, the lack of WiFi and some missing amenities (like toiletries and a dryer) were noted by several guests.

The cottage is in a peaceful location with views over the fields behind. You definitely need a car to reach the villages centre or other sites. The unit is older but has a well equipped kitchen and an outside eating area. There is no wifi which is quite unusual, so no streaming tv channels. Shampoo, body wash, hair dryer etc are no provided although the hosts left milk, wine and biscuits which were appreciated. The hosts are very friendly and gave lots of information including demonstrating how to operate the doors etc. There was only a land line provided to contact the host which we could not call through our data plan, I would suggest an email or texting number as well as more towels and sheets as we were there for a week so needled to wash with the provided washing machine but we needed to purchase laundry products and there is not a dryer.

Lovely quiet location. Clean and comfortable. Would go again if I was in that area.

We had such a lovely stay at Weetwood. Gavin and Gillian were spectacular and so incredibly helpful. My only point of concern is that there was no wifi on site. I appreciate the sentiment that we should all be off our devices and speak face to face more often, but that's not the only reason wifi has become a necessity. I was not able to access my emails sufficiently for work, or take care of those little things such as bill payments or securing tickets for attractions we wanted to see while in the area. Had wifi been available I would have been able to conveniently do those tasks. Keeping in touch with kids and grandkids back home is also something that I wasn't able to do while on site due to the lack of wifi.Would I stay again? Absolutely if I knew I didn't need a connection, so my stay would be limited. If there was a wifi connection, I would be happy to stay a month in that area. It was absolutely delightful.
