After dinner, snuggle up on the plush sofa in the warmth of the electric fire as your favourite show plays out on the Smart TV.

Climb the stairs to the first floor, where you will find a generous and light-filled double bedroom, with high vaulted ceilings, a Juliet balcony which overlooks the village, an electric fire and a well-appointed shower room, perfect for freshening up before bed. Explore the village where you will be spoilt for choice with dining out options right on your doorstep, including The Albert Hotel, The Manor and The Queens Hotel, there is also a well-stocked convenience store for picking up ingredients to cook up a storm in the comfort of Thimble Cottage. Bees Golf Club which overlooks the Irish sea and Lakeland Fells, or if that isn’t your thing, why not embark on the scenic 182-mile Coast to Coast Walk where along the way you can visit three national parks. Be sure to take a leisurely stroll along the Saint Bees Head Heritage Coast, where you can spot the wildlife of herring gulls, guillemots and razor bills. Make your way down to the St Bees Beach for a day of fun, your pooch is also welcome all year-round too, here you can bathe, paddle or enjoy a treat at the beach café. Continue onto Whitehaven, where you can explore the delights of the Beacon Museum, visit the West Pier Lighthouse, delve into history at The Rum Story & Jefferson’s Shop or dine on the freshest seafood as you enjoy views over the marina.

Cumbrian beach town of St. Bees has a Norman priory, an Elizabethan public school, and a number of old-fashioned inns and shops. It's located on the west coast of the county, near the town of Penrith. Starting point for Wainwright's famed coast-to-coast trek in western Lake District and Cumbrian coast. St. Bees Head is Cumbria's lone Heritage coastline and the only substantial sea cliff between Wales and Scotland. The clifftops, which are home to one of England's most important seabird populations, offer a magnificent beach and a variety of beautiful footpaths.
