Hadrian's View is a charming and cosy cottage in a tranquil setting with stunning countryside views, perfect for walkers and those seeking relaxation. Guests consistently praise the warm welcome from the hosts, the cleanliness, and the well-equipped, comfortable interiors. The open fire and thoughtful touches create a homely atmosphere. The location is ideal for exploring Hadrian's Wall and local attractions. While the garden is not fully enclosed for dogs, most guests found the property delightful and would happily return.
Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as pristine, very clean, and well maintained, with only one minor mention of décor being tired in places. Overall, guests are extremely satisfied with the cleanliness.
The location receives high praise for its tranquillity, beautiful views, proximity to Hadrian's Wall, and excellent walking opportunities. Only one review mentions the approach roads being winding, but this does not detract from the overwhelmingly positive feedback.
Guests frequently describe the cottage as comfortable, cosy, and a home from home, with special mention of the open fire and comfortable beds. The only minor issue raised was a cold kitchen, which was resolved with a heater.
The property is described as well equipped, with everything needed for a pleasant stay, including a real fire, smart TV, and good internet. The only recurring negative is that the garden is not fully dog-proof, which may be a consideration for pet owners.
Guests repeatedly mention the warm welcome from the hosts, including gifts such as homemade scones, wine, and biscuits. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

I noticed previous review about not being suitable for dog, we didn't bring ours but wish we had as it would have ben ideal, hardfloors downstairs and amazing walks ,if your dog is prone to running away just keep on lead, ours would have loved the open space and been happy to stay in the garden

There is no gate to prevent a dog accessing the road, the fence is not high enough to prevent a dog accessing a sheep field. This property accepts a dog but is not suitable for one unless on a lead when outside.
