History buffs will find plenty to rave about when walking along Hadrian’s Wall (4.5 miles), whilst lovers of fantastic birdlife should flock to the RSPB Geltsdale Nature Reserve (4.5 miles) to spot grouse, curlews and plenty of beautiful barn owls. Further afield you’ll find Scottish border towns including Gretna Green (19 miles) which is well worth a visit for shopping or dining out!
