Finished to a very good standard, the cottages have everything you need for family getaways including a hot tub (for private hire), also with in walking distance there is a heated swimming pool available too hire privately on line . The Solway Coast which is only 4 miles away has a lovely beach with long walks with paths along the coast great for dog walkers then relax and grab an ice cream or head too the local pub for a meal in allonby or visit silloth and Mayport two off the harbour towns on the solway coast with coffee shops, cafés, pubs takeaways and supermarkets or venture into the north lakes keswick only 14 miles away which has lots outdoor stuff to do with two lakes bassethwaite and derwent water in the area great for water activities paddle boarding ,swimming ,canoeing this property is next door too other cottages great for big family/friends get togethers. These include Halls Bank Farm ref 1319 sleeps 8 , Berwyn Bank ref 15825 sleeps 12 , Beckside (ref 17926) sleeps 2 all on the same site . The market town of Cockermouth is 6 miles, Keswick 14 miles and Buttermere 12 miles. Bassenthwaite Lake, 6 miles. Private fishing on the River Ellen for salmon and trout, 1 mile (free of charge). Golf and horse riding nearby. Beach 4 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub ½ mile.

My family 12 of us in all stayed for the weekend. The house was lovely very well equipped and clean The bedrooms were well suited to all the ages of our group and outside area and garden secure for children and dogs The hot tub was ready to use for our arrival and the use of the Leisure centre a great hit with everyone The house was nearby Cockermouth and Keswick and the Northern Lake District attractions . In other words a great holiday was had by all. I would not hesitate to recommend it .

We were a family of 9 adults. We enjoyed our stay in Berwyn Bank. The accommodation was very well equipped. The hot tub was good although not all in working order. There was some feedback from 3 of the bedrooms that the beds were hard. It was good to find that we had complimentary use of the pool for two sessions on Saturday and Sunday. The times are set in stone. It would have been good to know the times before arrival as we had booked a meal out at one of the times. All in all we had a good family get together.

Absolutely beautiful place would recommend highly. Perfect for family get togethers. And more than enough space to relax. We had the king size bed and it was so comfortable. Lovely and clean and the towels and be linin were spotless. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay Carol.
