The Solway Coast which is only 4 miles away has a lovely beach with long walks with paths along the coast great for dog walkers then relax and grab an ice cream or head too the local pub for a meal in allonby or visit silloth and Mayport two off the harbour towns on the solway coast with coffee shops, cafés, pubs takeaways and supermarkets or venture into the north lakes keswick only 14 miles away which has lots outdoor stuff to do with two lakes bassethwaite and derwent water in the area great for water activities paddle boarding ,swimming ,canoeing this property is next door too other cottages great for big family/friends get togethers. These include Halls Bank Farm ref 1319 sleeps 8 , Berwyn Bank ref 15825 sleeps 12 , Beckside (ref 17926) sleeps 2 all on the same site . The market town of Cockermouth is 6 miles, Keswick 14 miles and Buttermere 12 miles. Bassenthwaite Lake, 6 miles. Private fishing on the River Ellen for salmon and trout, 1 mile (free of charge). Golf and horse riding nearby. Beach 4 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub ½ mile.

Absolutely beautiful place would recommend highly. Perfect for family get togethers. And more than enough space to relax. We had the king size bed and it was so comfortable. Lovely and clean and the towels and be linin were spotless. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely stay Carol.

Great house with amazing space for our family of 13. The added use of the pool just topped it off. Unfortunately we did have a problem with flooding from top bathroom through to floor (light) below, found by my 6year old neice, we highlighted as soon as it happened and were told its happened before, so hopefully its properly fixed now. Otherwise all good.

4th year returning and doesnt disappoint fantastic accommodation fantastic owner We have already booked our family break for next year wouldnt go anywhere else for it now.Highly recommend there is nothing they dont stock down to kitchen utensils, table tennis, even had happy birthday candles which was a relief as forgot mine for daughters birthday cake Thanks for yet again another unforgettable break
