Set on the edge of a village ,this cottage is set ideally for exploring the Solway coast , Cockermouth , Keswick and the northern fells and lakes, enjoy the stunning scenery without experiencing the same hustle and bustle of the central Lakes. Finished to a very good standard, the cottages have everything you need for family getaways including a hot tub (for private hire), also with in walking distance there is a heated swimming pool available too hire privately on line . The Solway Coast which is only 4 miles away has a lovely beach with long walks with paths along the coast great for dog walkers then relax and grab an ice cream or head too the local pub for a meal in allonby or visit silloth and Mayport two off the harbour towns on the solway coast with coffee shops, cafés, pubs takeaways and supermarkets or venture into the north lakes keswick only 14 miles away which has lots outdoor stuff to do with two lakes bassethwaite and derwent water in the area great for water activities paddle boarding ,swimming ,canoeing this property is next door too other cottages great for big family/friends get togethers. A great place to unwind. Lovely position. Carol the owner was very helpful when we coun'dt get any hot water. The pool was a added bonus, especially when the weather was'nt very good. Lovely cottages in a lovely place. Great stay.

We had the most wonderful stay at this holiday cottage over the bank holiday weekend, it was exactly what we needed for a relaxing break.From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and well thought out. The house itself was absolutely spotless, which instantly put us at ease. Every room was beautifully presented, clean, and comfortable, making it feel like a real home away from home.The highlight for us was definitely the outdoor space. The hot tub was perfect for unwinding and the swimming pool was a huge hit with the kids, they honestly didn’t want to get out!The whole atmosphere of the place was peaceful, ideal for switching off and enjoying some quality family time, everything just felt easy and enjoyable.We couldn’t have asked for a better bank holiday getaway and would absolutely love to return. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a relaxing escape!

WOW what a place! We came away with our family for a lovely relaxing break and got just that!The accommodation was perfect 👌. The beds were so comfortable, lots of home comforts and an absolutely perfect setting.The kids absolutely loved the pool access, as did the adults.We really enjoyed relaxing and spending time outdoors in the garden.The house was perfect for what we needed, the scenery was beautiful and it eas just perfect. The kitchen was well stocked, we also had a food delivery for us arriving which was ideal. Lots of local places to explore closely too.Only thing to add would be the WiFi is quote slow, netflix etc wouldn't load but was this really a bad thing.. the detox was nice.We will definitely be back! Was perfect thank you so so much to our lovely host who was on hand if we needed anything.
