Offering country living at its finest, this Cumbria cottage has been lovingly renovated by the owners to provide a first-class holiday home, ideal for a family or group of friends to get away from it all. Full of character and charm throughout, this Cumbria cottage boasts a superb open plan living area with many outstanding features, including original oak beams, a feature fireplace with woodburning stove, and a beautiful farmhouse kitchen with shaker-style fittings and modern styling. Completing the ground floor accommodation in this lovely Cumbria cottage is a convenient snug with sofa bed, a ground floor master bedroom with modern en-suite facility, a cloakroom and an area for outdoor clothing and boots. Upstairs, this magnificent Cumbria cottage boasts a further four well laid out and spacious bedrooms, with delightful views of the surrounding countryside and lovely en-suite facility, as well as a family bathroom with first class quality fittings. Outside, a spacious enclosed garden provides an ideal area for playing with the children and enjoying a summer barbecue. This truly is a Cumbrian cottage with everything needed to ensure a relaxing break in this quiet and unspoilt corner of the county and as an added bonus, a complementary membership grants guests the use of the leisure facilities at the North Lakes Hotel & Spa in Penrith. The area provides an array of interesting walks and excellent biking opportunities, and is ideally placed for exploring the Lake District and Cumbrian coast. The market town of Penrith offers a good selection of restaurants, pubs and shops as well as a swimming pool and cinema, plus nearby villages offer pubs and shops. A lovely Cumbria cottage, and great base for family and friends.

With a charter granted in 1262, the traditional Cumbrian market town of Wigton still holds a market each Tuesday in the covered market hall. This lovely town is a popular centre for shopping, pubs and restaurants, as well as for other activities such as theatre, bowls, swimming, tennis and other sports. The Lord Melvyn Bragg novel, 'A Time to Dance', featured the town of Thurston, which was based on Wigton and the local area. Maybe more interactions with farm life be even more exciting for kids and us as an adults :) Garden could look more attracting with few flower pots. Size of garden was excellent, enough space for outdoor games like tennis what we found in game room. Maybe garage doors be good to hide some mess inside there. Lots of parking space. Maybe bit bigger cooking pots be ok (for 9 people was too tiny) and needed more tea spoons. Generally we enjoy the stay, we met absolutely lovely people there and 100% positive recommendations for future guests (but guest book was full :() We would stay there again ❤️
