A unique and really attractive property, with great charm and character. Very well equipped and loads of space. The owners, who live on site, could not have been more friendly or helpful. The location is idyllic; a peaceful hamlet in a beautiful rural setting...which is possibly the only slight drawback, in that shops, pubs, other facilities etc are not exactly on the door-step. However, from the small sample we managed, the village pubs around and about were worth the drive; friendly, good food etc. Overall, wouldn't hesitate in recommending and look forward to returning.

We had a wonderful stay at The Hayloft. The property is beautiful and has lots of character features. The walled garden is a lovely area to spend time in and we also made full use of the tennis court. Kit & Andrew are great hosts and provided lots of information on the surrounding area and places to visit.

Very spacious and tastefully decorated accommodation with the bonus of the use of a good tennis court and lovely walled garden containing home-grown produce. Location ideal for walking in the Pennines, Lakes, visiting Hadrian's Wall, Carlisle, Brampton etc and many lovely local pubs accessed via quiet lanes, so also great for cycling. Excellent shower and huge bath, comfortable lounge space with wood burner which we didn't use but previous guests enjoyed, and a further snug type space for reading etc. Very well equipped, and a tranquil, homely base for both excursions and staying in.
