About this property

Fell Haven is a well-presented, first-floor apartment nestled just a mile a half from the beach in the idyllic, historical village of St Bees, Cumbria. Enjoying a delightful interior, coastal views and easy access to the Lake District, Fell Haven is a great choice for families and couples looking to spend a weekend away from normality. Upon arrival there is parking either directly outside the building or underneath, so you can easily unload your belongings. Head up to the first-floor and step into the open-plan living space, where you can sit at the breakfast bar and chat to the designated chef whilst they prepare a home-cooked meal. Serve up culinary delights at the dining table before relaxing on the reclining sofa and thinking about the adventures to come. Freshen up in the bathroom and when it's time to call it a day, retreat to either of the king-size bedrooms, one of which enjoys en-suite facilities. In addition to having a magnificent mile-long sandy beach, that is regarded as one of the best on the western Lake District coast, St Bees is a destination full of thrilling contrasts, adventure, and tranquillity that you will want to return to time and time again. The Wainwright Coast to Coast walk, which spans the entirety of North England and passes through the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, officially begins at this broad promenade, and ends at Robin Hood's Bay. The sole Heritage Coast point between Scotland and Wales is St Bees Head, a sandstone headland, which is located nearby; it is one of the most striking, natural features on the whole Northwest England coast, and it is the site of the largest seabird colony on the English west coast, as well as an RSPB bird reserve. From St Bees, the four main valleys—Ennerdale, Eskdale, Wasdale, and Dunnerdale—each with distinct character, flow from the coast into the centre of the Lake District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wasdale is home to Wastwater, the deepest lake in England, and Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England; wanderers, runners, mountain bikers, climbers, paddlers, swimmers, sailors, divers, painters, poets, and sightseers are drawn to the brilliant splendour of the glistening lakes, uplifting forests, and serene mountains, where there are so many breath-taking paths, spots, and vistas to pick from. Whitehaven, a Georgian town five miles away, is readily reached by bus or train, with its beautiful harbour, an amazing assortment of historical sites, interactive galleries, and exhibitions. Travel to the Lake District, where you can easily visit Keswick on Derwent Water for shopping, culture, dining, and drinking adventures, as well as Cockermouth, the birthplace of Wordsworth. Nestled in a wonderful part of Cumbria, Fell Haven is a fabulous choice for a getaway, whatever time of year.

St. Bees is an historic seaside village on the west coast of Cumbria with a Norman priory and Elizabethan public school, as well as a shop, post office and old traditional pubs. It's an ideal base for exploring the western Lake District and Cumbrian coast, and is the start of the famous Wainwright coast to coast walk. St. Bees Head is the only major sea cliff between Wales and Scotland and is the only Heritage coastline in Cumbria. There is a fine beach and many wonderful walks are available along the clifftops, which are also home to one of England’s most important seabird colonies. There is also a nine-hole golf course in the village. Nearby Whitehaven, an elegant Georgian port, and the spectacular western Lakes, are more than worthy of a visit. Muncaster Castle is 8 miles away, as is the Eskdale and Ravenglass miniature railway. Cockermouth, the birth place of Wordsworth, and Keswick on Derwentwater are also within easy driving distance.

Keysafe is not to left of door but right in second carport! Neighbour showed us and let us use his recycling bins as no recycling or rubbish bins for 93 out. No access to garage as stated on welcome pack as no keys there. Otherwise it was fine for our needs.

The listing stated there was free WiFi but it was not working and there was no action taken despite me contacting several times over phone and messages. I have asked for a part refund as the listing was not correct but no response till now.
