Continue climbing until the second floor opens into the main living area. As you step across the smooth, warm-toned flooring, the open-plan layout unfolds around you.

A single bedroom sits nearby for those who prefer a quieter corner, while the double bedroom on this level provides a welcoming place to end each day.
A cloakroom also sits on this floor, adding welcome practicality. Climb the final staircase to reach a wonderfully spacious double bedroom tucked beneath the rafters, creating an elevated retreat at the top of the property with an airy sense of privacy. Step back outside, and you’re surrounded by Silloth’s charming coastal character. The beach awaits a gentle wander away, while the renowned Silloth Golf Club lies only a brief walk from the door, making Sugar Loft ideal for golfing getaways. With the main strip close by, you can enjoy refreshments, stop for dinner or browse the local shops with ease. When you’re ready to explore further, memorable places lie within easy reach.
The Lake District National Park offers lakeside paths where you can follow the shoreline as boats drift by, scenic cruises that let you take in the water from a different angle and vibrant market towns filled with craft shops and cafés. Maryport brings its attractive marina where yachts sway in the breeze, a Roman museum filled with ancient stories and long waterfront walks that open to wide Solway views. Carlisle invites you into a city rich with heritage, where the cathedral rises above the streets, the castle tells tales of centuries of conflict and the Tullie Museum shares vivid exhibitions about local culture.

The popular resort of Silloth in West Cumbria lies north of the Lake District on the shore of the Solway Firth. On the opposite shore lie the hills of Southern Galloway in Scotland and to the south Skiddaw and the Northern Fells can be seen. Silloth was renowned for its "invigorating air, temperate climate, airy streets, its promenade and beach". It has glorious sea and mountain views and the light and the sunsets are renowned. It was developed in the 1850s; the railway arrived in 1856, the docks were opened 3 years later. The Carr's biscuit factory flour mill opened in 1886. Silloth was for a time, one of the country’s premier seaside resorts. The town was laid out on a regular grid pattern and planned as a "health resort for the upper and middle classes". The streets running off the wide, tree lined, cobbled Criffel Street are all named after the rivers flowing into the Solway Firth. The 'Green', an ever present feature is 34 acres of open grassland and is communal space for all to enjoy. Silloth and Solway Golf Club, situated in the town is a championship course which is ranked No 1 by the National Club Golfer Magazine 2016 for both quality and value. There are superb walks, particularly along the coastline, south to Allonby and north to Grune Point. Birdwatching is ever present. Both the Lake District and the English Heritage site of Hadrian's Wall are an easy 40 minute drive away. With quiet country roads and the Cumbria Coastal Way this is an ideal location for cyclists and walkers.
