Located at the foot of the Howgill Fells, Sedbergh (pronounced Sed-Ber) is a historic market town in northern Dentdale. Located about 12 miles from the Lake District National Park, Sedbergh is a popular tourist destination in the Yorkshire Dales. There's an old-world feel to the town with its narrow streets, small shops, traditional bars, famed school from 1525, and 12th century church. There's Dentdale, a 14-mile expanse of rolling hills and dry stone walls in the Yorkshire Dales that begins in Sedbergh and ends at the junction of the Dee and Rawthey rivers.
