This charming northern English town, once the seat of Westmorland's county government, is nestled in the lush Eden Valley. Guests can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, as well as numerous hiking and cycling trails and the town's fantastic leisure centre, while staying in Appleby. The bonus is the closed in area that is yours for the stay so the dogs can run about and you can relax. Beautiful walks nearby and the pub food is excellent too. A thoroughly recommended stay and I would love to go back
