A superb end-terrace cottage located in the old mill village of Cark in Cartmel, two miles from the priory village of Cartmel, and eight miles from the tip of Lake Windermere. There are plenty of attractions nearby with the popular South Lakes Wild Animal Park less than 30 minutes' drive away, and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway just 8 miles down the road. Cark in Cartmel is a small Lakeland village just two miles from Cartmel, one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District. Cark is well served by the Furness line railway, and features pretty streamside strolls, lovely walks to the local coastline, overlooking Morecambe Bay, two fine traditional old pubs and a scattering of small shops.

    The light switch in the bedroom with bunk beds was broken and the freezer had not been defrosted, otherwise no complaints.

    On this visit, we did notice that the cleanliness of the property had declined a little, however this would not stop us booking again. Great cottage in a wonderful location. Thank you.

    The house is very dated with a lot of the owners personal items around every room so not ideal for children garden front and back needs maintenance and cleaning
