Viewpoint is a warm, cosy property with a great location in Kendal, offering splendid views and a convenient base for exploring. Guests appreciate the helpful owner, the comfortable beds, and the added parking space. While some guests mention minor maintenance issues and suggest improvements, the overall experience is positive, with many willing to recommend or return for another stay.
The property is generally found to be clean, but several reviews mention issues such as cobwebs, mould in the shower, and a moth outbreak. These concerns suggest room for improvement in the cleaning routine.
The property's location is highly praised for its proximity to Kendal town centre, local shops, and attractions like the castle. The scenic views and easy access to amenities contribute to a positive experience.
Guests find the beds very comfortable and the property warm and cosy. However, some reviews note issues with seating comfort and bedroom furnishings, indicating that while comfort is generally good, there is potential for enhancement.
The property is well-equipped with kitchen appliances and offers a pleasant garden space. Nonetheless, guests suggest the addition of more pans, a cheese grater, and a hair dryer, and some mention problems with WiFi and TV reception.
Guests mention receiving a bottle of wine and other small extras, which are appreciated as thoughtful gestures. However, it is noted that such gifts are not guaranteed and may vary with each stay.

I left a note about the broken chair leg, maybe it wasn't reported by previous occupants but looked as though someone had tried to fix it. Little extras provided made a difference eg milk, flowers, salt and pepper. We enjoyed our stay and the location was good. Thank you.

There are still no wooden spoons, despite previous comments. The Smart TV was not working in that it would not play on request, but just shut down. I phoned the owner to inform about this, but he was not able to help. I managed through trial and error and googling information, to reset the TV and then it allowed me to sign in to the channels. At most holiday homes, the channels are already enabled, which is much better. I wasn't sure if the thermostat was working as set to 17 degrees when I arrived and the house very warm! Generally a good stay, but some niggles.

The table in the lounge cannot be moved and is too far away from the chairs and therefore no use for placing drinks on. The cushions on the lounge chairs slide forward, as do the chairs themselves. The toilet roll holder in the en suite is hidden from view and there is only 1 towel rail. The sink in the shower room is tiny and only big enough to wash your hands. There are no bins in the bedrooms or lounge. There is no visitor's book or information folder. There needs to be a greater variety of drinking glasses. The garden is rather overgrown. Frankly, if the owners spent a few nights in the house they would quickly realise the shortcomings.
