A wonderful warm and cosy cottage. Beautiful views and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely walk to Smardale viaduct from the door. Enclosed garden and conservatory was great to enjoy the views. We will be back!

Had a gorgeous holiday at Bluebell Barn. We used it as a base and had a couple of lovely days out. We went on the Carlisle to Settle railway setting off at kirkby Stephen which had free parking. Beautiful views. The next day we went to Derwentwater, parked at Great Wood car park and walked towards Keswick. The lake is stunning and we got on the Keswick Launch to return to the car park via Ashness gate. We had the woodburning stove going everyday and cooked at the barn. The barn really does have everything you require with a great drying area and it was very dog friendly. Thank you for the lovely bread, butter and prosecco and, of course, the dog biscuits. Very much appreciated

The cottage is very well equipped, has stunning views. The sofas are very comfy and so are the beds, the bedding is good quality.Laura has gone above and beyond with the cottage..I couldn’t think of anything that I needed that wasn’t there. The complimentary loaf and bottle of Prosecco was a lovely touch. She even lent us a walking stick as my husband had forgotten his. Laura your cottage is a credit to you and you are an amazing and thoughtful host.
