Blue Bell Barn was an excellent stay, it had the wow factor for us.Panoramic views from most of the cottage windows.Set in a village, very quiet, ideal location to travel out and about. Two items I've experienced with some cottages is the oven doesn't operate correctly and the heating system not easy to set up. But Blue Bell was top notch, cooker easy to use and heating so easy just a switch on or off and we had excellent heating for our cold winter stay.We will go back.

Very impressed with the host leaving fresh locally baked sourdough bread and butter to go with it! Also a generous supply of essentials. We stayed in early December and the cottage was very warm and cosy.We had a lovely walk along an old railway line with the dog to Smardale Gill Viaduct followed by excellent beer in The King's Head in Ravenstonedale.

Fantastic stay. So relaxing and quiet location with the most wonderful view. Easy to find with great parking. Beds were so comfy and we had restful sleep.Facilities in the cottage were great and we appreciated the local loaf, food and drink after a long drive.Thank you for accepting Bravehound Lynne and leaving her biscuits and a towel for her paws.Loved the log fire and Christmas tree which added to the homeliness.
