We love our stay at the Larches. We have been 3 times now and its such a lovely stay each time. This year we noticed some new additions with new comfy sofas and an extra large TV. The larches is the perfect base for trips round Cumbria and Yorkshire and the house itself is just so cute but big enough for 10 of us. Thanks guys...hope to stay again soon ***

Lovely cottage in a cute little Hamlet. Kirkby Stephen is a lovely little town with a great community atmosphere. We did an easy walk from the cottage over 2 viaducts, past a waterfall and into the town. The Mulberry Bush café & staff were amazing especially as we had a coeliac in our group. Our trip coincided with the young farmers festive tractor run and the towns Christmas lights switch on which was all really good fun. The cottage was full of character but with all mod cons and a really well equipped kitchen. If you're arriving after dark take a torch as there are no external lights to guide you round the back to the key safe and it's VERY dark! - excellent for star gazing not for finding a key safe!!

We rented the Larches for a family reunion. The beautiful location within walking distance of Kirkby Stephen and all its shops and pubs/restaurants was ideal for us. The house was spacious and well equipped for a group of 10 people. Driving over the small narrow bridge just at the house is a little challenging when you arrive but you quickly get used to it.The neighbours and people we met in the village were also very helpful and friendly. All-in-all we had a lovely time there.
