About this property

The Studio - Charonini is a stylish, studio-style apartment surrounded by countryside in Plumpton near Penrith, Cumbria. With open-plan living, plenty of outdoor space and easy access to both the Lake District and North Pennines, this pet-friendly apartment offers a romantic getaway. There are two parking spaces, one off-road and another in the garage, along with bike storage for those travelling for an outdoor adventure. Climb the steps to your home-from-home where a thoughtfully decorated, open-plan space awaits; settle into the contemporary kitchen with marble countertops to rustle up a home-cooked meal for your other half, to be served at the breakfast bar for two. The space is filled with natural light to snuggle up on the sofa with a good book, whilst evenings can be spent watching the Smart TV. With uninterrupted views of the countryside, step out onto the sheltered patio with a cold glass of wine, or why not make use of the gas barbecue out on the elevated patio. Time it right and you'll dine with the sunset, whilst your furry friend is welcome to stretch out on the lawn. After busy days trekking the Lake District, return for a hot shower in the shower room before getting ready for bed. A sumptuous king-size is tucked away in the corner where you'll wake up to those idyllic, rural views from the picture window opposite. Start your holiday by exploring the lovely town of Penrith, with plenty of shops and eateries for your self-catering stay, as well as historic attractions such as the ruins of Penrith Castle, Penrith and Eden Museum and the curious passages of the nearby Brougham Castle. If you seek the great outdoors, take a short drive into the Lake District; the likes of Pooley Bridge on the shores of Ullswater and Keswick along Derwentwater are two popular locations for picturesque walks and attractions, including Keswick's Theatre By The Lake for a romantic evening! To the east you'll also have the North Pennines to climb the nearby Cross Fell, the area's highest peak, Ashgill Force and the Pennine Way, England's first National Trail. Alternatively, spend the day in Carlisle along the Scottish Border, with so much history on offer; Carlisle Castle and Cathedral are spectacular sites, whilst Hadrian's Wall isn't far to walk along the ancient fort ruins. Escape to Cumbria's countryside with your other half at The Studio - Charonini.

The lively market town of Penrith, originally the capital of Cumbria, is centrally located between the Lake District and the North Pennines, making it ideal for exploring the region's attractions. Penrith's sandstone houses hide intriguing yards, roads, and alleyways, with a plethora of lovely cottages, gardens, and small stores, and is known for its wealth of specialised shops. Penrith provides a museum and Millennium Trails around the old city streets, as well as a large range of superb pubs, hotels, restaurants, and entertainment.

It is spacious, modern, spotless and has the most beautiful views towards the lake district. The studio was warm and full of natural light, the outdoor space was secluded and very well maintained with lots of outdoor seating options. Our sight hound loved the expansive views from the picture window and we sat most mornings enjoying coffee and watching the sun light up the hills in the distance. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and felt pampered by the wonderful choice of necessities and extras in the welcome pack, we were delighted as it was unexpectedly thoughtful. A 5 minute drive to Penrith for dog walks to the Beacon and around the nature reserve and local shopping too. A perfect short break, we hope to come back!

Would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone that wants to visit the Lake District. Our hosts were very welcoming and went above and beyond.

The accommodation is stylish, modern and has a fantastic view of the nearby peaks and green fields. Our dog loved playing in the large garden on the property. The hosts Pam and Neil were very welcoming and we were blown away with their hospitality. We had just married and they went well above and beyond, gifting a card and a bottle of champagne to us. The welcome basket was high quality. Would highly recommend, a great experience and value for money.
