Sedbergh itself is two and a half miles away, an enjoyable walk and has an excellent selection of cafes and book shops, the town being the first ’book’ town in the UK.

Set on a very quiet working farm, Gateside Farmhouse has undergone a major renovation and now offers excellent, quality accommodation for up to 10. The rooms are light and spacious and, laid out on three floors, the property offers flexible living space for a large family gathering or a group of walkers or cyclists. A small welcome pack is provided by the owners, so you can look forward to a decent cuppa after a long journey. The property is on a national cycle route.
