Stone Cross was just the right fit for our trip. Ulverston is wonderful to visit especially if a laurel and hardy fan. Good eateries especially at Base and the Tapas restaurant. Great pubs and perfect location to drive around the lakes. Or get a train.

The property is stunning from the outside and inside. The apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed. The grounds are very well maintained and plenty of activities for the kids. We will be staying again!

The combination of historic building with modern apartments is excellent - lots of space in each room, really comfortable beds and good storage options - everything we need as we manage work and school. Outside, the grounds are beautiful and peaceful for strolling through or relaxing on a bench. Inside, the pool table, table top football and board games are a welcome addition. Ulverston offers the advantage of being near to the lakes without the crowds in the lake district towns so would definitely recommend to holidaymakers.
