About this property

Set in the popular town of Lytham is this delightful three-storey property, Yewdale. Benefitting from a well-equipped kitchen/diner, five neatly-appointed bedrooms and close access to local amenities, Yewdale welcomes ten guests to relish the ultimate seascape in Lancashire. Enter your new home-from-home to discover a delightful sitting room equipped with Smart TV and plush seating where you can unwind after a day of adventures; an additional snug room provides the perfect spot to get lost in a book, glass of wine or cup of tea in hand, ahead of settling down at the dining table as a family. Allow the designated chef to cook up a storm with the use of the fantastic kitchen appliances and toast to a memorable getaway over a bottle of bubbly; on balmier evenings you could even enjoy mealtimes alfresco in the enclosed patio area. When the sky grows dark, retire to one of two beautifully-embellished bathrooms, one residing on the second floor, to indulge a long soak or revitalising shower before choosing from one of five double or king size bedrooms to drift off into a deep sleep in. If you can tear yourself away, begin your day with a stroll along the coast and bask in the sea air, stopping off at St Anne’s Pier and the famous beach huts along the way. Time your visit right to attend the popular Lytham Festival, held in July, which plays host to a variety of pop and rock acts to suit every taste, or the Lytham 40’s Festival, which pays homage to war time glamour and takes place in August. The bustling seaside location of Blackpool, well-known for being home to the Blackpool Tower housing the spectacular ballroom features on Strictly Come Dancing, resides only a stone’s throw away and hosts a wealth of fun-filled attractions including Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not and South Pier Blackpool where you can while away the day with a variety of rides and games; for animal lovers Blackpool Zoo is guaranteed to be a winner and the younger members of your party are sure to love Blackpool Model Village and Gardens. Continue on to Cleveleys, renowned for being the filming location of the Star Wars spin off, Andor, where you’ll find the popular Venue restaurant, Glasshouse cocktail bar and bistro, the picturesque Jubilee Gardens and a lovely promenade. For walking, cycling, and hiking trails, the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB) is only a short distance away by car, where you can also enjoy the Bowland Wild Boar Park or spend the day at Browsholme Hall and Tithe Barn. Venture further afield to experience the wonders of the Lake District National Park, where you will find Fell foot, Ulverston for leisurely family walks and a wealth of watersports opportunities. Whatever your Lancashire itinerary looks like, choose Yewdale as your homely base.

The seaside communities of Lytham and St. Annes-on-Sea are tucked away along a charming length of shoreline that is bordered by lovely parks. This beautiful region's economy was solely dependent on fishing for many years before the Industrial Revolution began, when the wealthy started to develop an affluent area that has persisted to the present day. You can reach lush Clifton Street, where you'll find charming boutiques, cafés, and independent businesses, by taking a short stroll from the Lytham seafront. The Old Lytham Lifeboat House Museum and the restored Windmill are located on Lytham Green, a stretch of grassy area between the water and the major coastal road that offers views of the River Ribble and the Welsh Mountains. While walkers and birdwatchers will appreciate the sweeping sand dunes of St Annes-on-Sea and the Ribble Estuary, which offers a safe haven for more than 250,000 migrating birds that return each winter, those interested in craft ales may take a tour of the Lytham Brewery. There are four golf courses in the area, and the most well-known is the Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club, which serves as one of the Open Championship's host courses. St Annes-on-Sea offers guests a distinctive, thrilling addition to the traditional seaside activities with its picturesque pier and endearing beach houses in a variety of pastel colours. St Annes Square and Wood Street, where you may discover quaint coffee shops, tea rooms, restaurants, and independent shops, are only a short stroll from the pier. Lytham St Annes is a delightful coastal town with a lot to offer, including leisurely long walks, sunny days on the sand, and fun-filled frolics in adjacent Blackpool. Additionally available nearby are award-winning restaurants, traditional pubs, and wine bars if you feel like celebrating, as well as boating, cycling, shopping, and swimming. Lytham St. Annes is the perfect destination for your coastal holiday, whatever that may be.

The house was clean and met all our needs. The two reception rooms gave options for quiet time, the kitchen was superb. Lytham House is a located very near the centre of Lytham and the Green. We went for numerous walks to St Anne's, Fairhaven Lake and Lytham Hall helped by the pleasant weather. All in all, a fantastic house in a great location. We would readily return.

Particularly well equipped. A real home from home. Only slight negatives are the lack of a garden (small yard area only) and on-street parking only, meaning you are sometimes parked a little way from the property. Neither bothered us but lack of garden might be more of an issue in the summer

We communicated to both the owner and yourselves. Absolutely nothing was done to either assist us to sort it or fix it with a professional. We booked Yewdale partly because it had two bathrooms as we had seven adults and three small children. Although we did not allow this to ruin our weekend we thought your response very poor indeed.
