Bridleway Cottage receives high praise for its peaceful location, well-equipped and cosy interiors, and attentive yet unobtrusive hosts. Guests frequently mention the beautiful views, excellent birdwatching, and thoughtful touches throughout the property. The cottage is described as a perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding areas. While the vast majority of reviews are extremely positive, a small number mention issues with cleanliness and heating. Overall, guests find it an ideal spot for a relaxing and comfortable getaway.
Most guests found the cottage spotlessly clean and well maintained, with only a couple of reviews noting issues such as dust, dirty kitchenware, or linens. The majority of feedback highlights a high standard of cleanliness.
The location is widely praised for its tranquillity, beautiful countryside views, and proximity to both the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting and easy access to local walks and attractions.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and relaxing, with particular mention of the quality of beds, seating, and the overall homely feel. A few isolated comments mention issues with heating or mattress comfort, but these are rare.
The cottage is frequently described as exceptionally well equipped, with modern kitchens, high-speed broadband, and thoughtful amenities. Minor suggestions for improvement (e.g., a footstool or casserole dish) are noted but do not detract from the overall positive impression.
Many guests mention the owners' attentive communication and helpful recommendations, as well as occasional welcome gifts such as tea, coffee, milk, and treats. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.
This delightful, stone-built semi-detached cottage sits amongst quiet countryside in the small hamlet above Wray, two miles from Low Bentham, making an ideal romantic retreat for those wishing to enjoy the great outdoors. There is an open plan living area with modern furnishings, a stylish, well-equipped kitchen with views of Ingleborough and a woodburner to settle beside on frosty nights. Ingleton is just a little further, offering a collection of shops and traditional old pubs huddled around its quaint square, along with an open air, heated swimming pool available during the summer. The bustling market town of Settle is nearby with its weekly market, or for a great day out, take a tour along the renowned Settle-Carlisle Railway line, which steams through some of the most inspiring upland scenery in the country, and the nearby Wennington Railway Station is on the Leeds-Morecambe line. This cosy cottage provides all the ingredients for a romantic break.

The location is great for hiking/rambling. We also enjoyed sitting in the lounge and watching the huge number of birds on the bird feeder just outside. Highly recommended.

If you feed the birds you will be well rewarded. Highlights for us was the Ingleton waterfall trail. Also, lesser known the trough of Bowland drive - cottage - Slaidburn- Dunshop Bridge - caton - cottage. Awesome views on drive.
