We really enjoyed it. There were only a couple of things that stood out. The curtain rail upstairs was broken which meant it let a lot of light in.This meant I was unable to sleep well.Location brilliant. The layout and decor was wonderful and the beds and bedding was really comfortable. We were missing bread from the welcome hamper but that wasn't a big deal. A kickboard in the kitchen has come loose and fell off and it was a bit drafty at times so maybe the windows require an inspection. And the guide didnt tell us how to operate the telly nor was there a local food guide.

We had a fantastic stay at Swan House at Tewitfield Marina and would highly recommend it. The house is beautifully presented, comfortable, spacious and has everything you need for a relaxing break. The peaceful marina setting makes it a lovely place to unwind, with beautiful surroundings right on the doorstep.The location is excellent too. Swan House makes a great base for exploring the area, particularly if you enjoy walking. It’s ideally situated for days out and walks around both the Lake District and the Pennines, with plenty of stunning countryside and picturesque places to discover nearby.After a day out exploring, it was wonderful to come back to such a comfortable and peaceful house. Tewitfield Marina itself is a lovely setting and adds something special to the stay.A fantastic property in a brilliant location — we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Swan House and would happily stay again. Highly recommended!

An overall great holiday experience for grandparents, daughter and grandchildren aged 6 and 14. Something for everyone within the closest proximity to the accommodation. All very comfortable and with use of dishwasher and washing machine to cover the home cooking stay and water sports activities. Perfect weather a bonus.
