Guests say

Hillcrest Croft offers a charming stay with stunning views, friendly hosts, and a close connection to farm life. Guests appreciate the fresh eggs, the opportunity to interact with animals, and the relaxing hot tub. While some noted the property is actually a caravan and not a traditional lodge, the warmth and cleanliness generally received praise. The rural setting provides peace and tranquillity, with local amenities within reach.

The majority of guests found the property exceptionally clean, with only a few isolated reports of cleanliness issues. The positive remarks about the property's tidiness suggest a high standard of cleanliness is maintained.

The location is highly praised for its stunning countryside views, peacefulness, and proximity to local attractions. Guests enjoyed the rural setting and the wildlife, contributing to a high score for location.

Comfort levels are generally well-regarded, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the lodge cosy. However, some guests mentioned issues with heating and space, particularly in the twin room, which affects the comfort score.

Facilities are appreciated, especially the well-equipped kitchen and the hot tub. However, there are comments about the lack of a microwave and some maintenance issues, such as the hot tub's condition and heating challenges, which slightly lower the score.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through gestures like providing fresh eggs and allowing guests to interact with farm animals. While these gifts enhance the experience, they are based on availability and are not guaranteed for every stay.

Everything we needed was provided including a bowlful of farm fresh eggs. great watching the pony’s, sheep, goats, chickens and hares while relaxing in the hot tub.

When we were packing to leave we found dirty pairs of children's underwear under the bed in the small room, There were trip hazards in some areas of flooring where it felt like panels were falling creating holes... The hot tub was comforting but was also falling apart, the filter just kept floating away resulting in many bugs floating around as well as many jets and seat cushions being broken. From the hot tub While I am writing about these issues they. Did not ruin our stay we still had a lovely time we just wanted to make you aware so the could be fixed

It’s a lovely place to stay if you are looking for a peaceful place to relax surrounded by the beauty of the countryside and all the animals. My little girl loved all the farm animals. The owners are really nice they welcomed us with fresh eggs really kind people. The only bad thing I can say is the property didn’t come with a microwave and the toaster was not working which is part of kitchen appliances they said in the description that they provide. Also, if you are planning on visiting with a baby the travel cot that they provided has a really thin mattress so it would be best of to take your own travel cot with a mattress I had to use a bed cover over the top to make it more comfortable for my little one. Other than that it’s a lovely place to stay.
