Known locally for its tasty home-grown produce, this small town offers a warm welcome and a wealth of specialist and individual shops where you can pick up a number of treats; don't miss the local cheesemongers for a wedge of fine Lancashire cheese! The street market is held every Thursday, another exciting shopping treat. Running right through the centre of the town is the peaceful Lancaster Canal, where you can watch the passing canal boats cruise by and enjoy the abundance of wildlife it supports. ??then there is no frying pan or whisk or potato masher but the most annoying is there is no information about how to setup about WiFi. From getting there to going home not one person came to see if everything was ok??? What a shame

We had a very enjoyable week here, and the hot tub was a bonus. The lodge is fitted wall to wall with smart equipment, I do believe that a basic written instruction guide would prove helpful to those not as tech savvy as others. I would have no hesitation to recommend Ruperts Retreat and hopefully will return at a future date.
