The main living area is an open plan area around a crackling wood burner, inviting you to sink into its embrace and unwind in comfort. Moving through the ground floor, you’ll discover a tastefully appointed dining area, illuminated by the soft glow of vintage chandeliers suspended from the lofty ceiling. I found the stay to be satisfactory, we wanted a secluded place to gather as a family and that what we got, there are loads of great walking spots near by and the hot tub was great for relaxing in afterwards, there were a couple of grips though, the first being we couldnt get in, check in was at 4pm and we arrived a little after that but no code was sent over to me, I did manage to get in contact with the host quite quickly who was very helpful, but waiting in the cold wasnt ideal, The building is lovely but I think it needs updating there seem to be some isues with water coming in as there were towels plugging holes and buckets catching water everywhere, also the kitchen and bathrooms need some TLC. The beds were ok but the pillows are rock hard so bring your own if youre planning on staying.

Beautiful building, as the pictures show. I do feel they could make the stay easier by ensuring more basics available on arrival such as enough loo roll, a few more dishwasher tablets, towels for the hot tub, to make things feel more thoughtful. The parking at the property is tricky but manageable with two cars - any more than this would be a struggle. Dining table only big enough to seat 8 (suited us) but as the property sleeps 10 this may be problematic for others. Overall beautiful property, just lacking some finishing touches to feel really special.
